Position Summary

Job Title: Nursery Caregivers
Status: Part-time Hourly

Position Description
The ECBC Nursery Department desires to hire Nursery Caregivers to help with various day and evening ministry events. Workers must be at least 15 years of age and must provide previous experience caring for children. The Nursery Department will train each new Caregiver hired. The Nursery Caregiver is to provide care for the overall needs of each child in their classroom. The Nursery Caregiver is an hourly paid position. Adults $15.00 per hour and Teens $12.00 per hour.

Job Title: Private Music Lessons Educator

Position Summary:
The Private Music Lessons Educators would teach one on one lessons on musical instruments or voice based on the teacher’s qualifications and the amount of interest from our ECAA families. Instruments would include (but not be limited to) piano, guitar, flute, clarinet, saxophone, trumpet, trombone, percussion, drum set, violin, cello.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Private instructors will plan one on one lessons each week during the fall and spring semesters
  • Private instructors will teach good practice skills
  • Private instructors will help prepare students for their concerts if they are involved in a band, choir, or strings program at their school.
  • Private instructors will help prepare students for audition

Qualifications and Requirements

  • A passionate love for the Lord and a desire to serve in the worship ministry
  • Ability to plan and lead private music lessons
  • Proficiency on the instrument(s) or voice part you are hired to teach
  • A recital will be held once a year to showcase the students

Job Title: Worship Wednesday Musical Director

Position Summary
The Worship Wednesday Musical Director would work with the Director of the East Cooper Arts Academy (ECAA) to coordinate and lead the Worship Wednesday Musical class through the Arts Academy. The director would plan and lead 15 rehearsals both semesters. Each semester would conclude with a musical performance. The rehearsals would take place on Wednesday evenings from 6:30-8:00 in the Kids Church room at East Cooper Baptist Church.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Pick a musical that is uplifting and encouraging
  • Teach musical concepts needed to perform the music more effectively
  • Prepare the students for a performance in the spring

Qualifications and Requirements

  • A passionate love for the Lord and a desire to serve in the worship ministry
  • Ability to plan and lead musical rehearsals
  • Basic piano skills for rehearsals
  • Ability to communicate well with the students and parents of the Worship Wednesdays Musical

Job Title: Associate Dean of Students
Status: Full-Time for 2024-25 School Year (August – May)

Position Summary
The Associate Dean of Students will work closely with the Dean of Students to coordinate
student activities, grade-level events, and class community service opportunities to promote and foster a positive school spirit among the student body. In addition, the Associate Dean of Students will serve as the lead discipleship coordinator for Upper School male students (grades 6-12).

Roles and Responsibilities
The Associate Dean of Students will work with the Dean of Students to achieve the following:

  • Oversee Clubs
  • Ensure that clubs have sponsors
  • Ensure that clubs are meeting routinely
  • Ensure that clubs are participating in community service projects
  • Coordinate and oversee PCA Events
  • Plan Homecoming, Prom, and Dances
  • Plan and oversee See You at the Pole
  • Plan and oversee ACSI Global Day of Prayer
  • Assist with morning announcements and communicating school events and
    important dates to our students 6-12
  • Responsible for making sure the announcements are in and ready the day before
  • Coordinate selection of student announcers with Upper School Principal
  • Assist with Special Programs
  • Work alongside of the Dean of Students to coordinates program for new student
    orientation
  • Work with the Dean of Students to create and produce High School Planning and
    Orientation Guide for incoming 9th grade students
  • Works with Bible teachers and ECBC Youth Pastors to establish Discipleship
    Program for male students
  • Other Duties as Assigned by the Dean of Students


Qualification and Job Requirements

  • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a middle and/or high school teacher
  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Education, Bible, Counseling or similar
  • The preferred candidate possesses a Master’s degree in one of the above disciplines
  • A strong testimony of a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and evidence of regular attendance and involvement in a local church

Primary Responsibilities

  • Working with Administrative team to develop Lower School budget
  • Working with Administrative team to maintain ACSI Accreditation
  • Assisting the Admissions Director in conducting prospective family interviews
  • Working with the Upper School Principal to develop class schedules
  • Developing and managing Lower School curriculum program with the Lower School
    Instructional Coach
  • Developing opportunities for faculty professional development
  • Using data analysis to assist in student academic improvement and placement
  • Communicating with students and parents regarding academic and discipline issues
  • Providing ongoing evaluation to faculty members including informal and formal
    assessments to help determine faculty assignments
  • Guiding students to self-governance through redemptive discipline
  • Providing spiritual leadership and growth opportunities to faculty and staff
