Position Summary
The graphic designer is responsible for partnering with the Communications Team to produce ministry deliverables that communicate content creatively and clearly, using both printed and digital mediums.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Communications Team on creative projects, bringing new and fresh design ideas to fruition.
  • Design and layout print and digital material for designated requests and projects from our ministry leaders.
  • Be able to accomplish project assignments with excellence in a timely manner.
  • Provide input in various phases of the design process.
  • Develop illustrations, logos, and other designs using Adobe software or by hand.
  • Able to help with weekly communications responsibilities such as folding bulletin, setting out signage, and sending emails.

Job Title: High School Ministry Associate 
Reports to: High School Pastor/Director 
Status: Exempt/Salaried Full Time

Position Summary 
The High School Ministry Associate will help lead the High School Ministry by assisting leadership, staff, and volunteers in a variety of ways. The position is split between administrative responsibilities and a personal ministry with students. The primary administrative responsibilities are event and retreat planning, oversight of the ministry’s finances, and communication to leaders, students, and parents. The associate’s personal ministry will be to high school girls and high school leaders and will involve relationship building, evangelism, and discipleship. 

Working Relationships 
Works directly with the High School Pastor/Director, other staff members, adult Sunday leaders, Sunday Night Live and high school connect groups and student life groups. 

Roles and Responsibilities 

  • Development of ministry goals and vision 
  • Logistics, scheduling, and administration of ministry events: Sunday morning worship, Sunday Night Live, retreats and trips, and weekly connect groups and student life groups
  • Communication throughout the ministry: preparing and sending of flyers, newsletters, emails, and reminders to staff, students, and parents as needed 
  • Ministry finances: oversight of ministry budget and completion of expenditure and reimbursement forms 
  • Relationship building, evangelism, and spiritual development with girls in the ministry 
  • Personal and weekly discipleship with high school student leaders, geared towards preparing them and aiding them in their ministry and leadership

Key Performance Indicators 

  • Effectiveness and organization of Sunday School, Sunday Night Live, high school connect groups and student life groups, retreats, and other ministry events
  • Personal and ministerial development of leaders: faithfulness in leading the small group and effectiveness in giving them a vision and framework for ministry 
  • Personal ministry to high school girls: faithfulness in pursuing relationships with them, praying for them, and sharing the gospel with them

Job Title: Private Music Lessons Educator
Reports to: Mike Doll, ECAA Director
Status: Part time (Day and Time based on the number of students and room availability)

Position Summary
The Private Music Lessons Educators would teach one-on-one lessons for musical instruments or voice based on the teacher’s qualifications and the amount of interest from our ECAA families. Instruments would include (but not be limited to) piano, guitar, flute, clarinet, saxophone, trumpet, trombone, percussion, drum set, violin, cello.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Private instructors will plan one-on-one lessons each week during the fall and spring semesters.
  • Private instructors will teach good practice skills.
  • Private instructors will help prepare students for their concerts if they are involved in a band, choir, or strings program at their school.
  • Private instructors will help prepare students for audition.
  • A recital may be held once a year to showcase the students.

Palmetto Christian Academy

Job Title: Lower School Principal
Status: Full-time position for the 2025-26 school year

Position Summary
Palmetto Christian Academy is seeking a full-time Lower School Principal (grades K-5) who can lead the Lower School faculty to teach with a distinctly Biblical worldview integrated throughout the curriculum and instruction. The candidate must possess at least a Master’s degree in education, preferably in Educational Leadership/Administration, and a minimum of 5 years of teaching experience and 2 years in an administrator role.

Organizational Status
This position reports to the Assistant Headmaster/Director of Academics

Primary Responsibilities
The Principal’s duties include (but are not limited to):

  • Working with Administrative team to develop school-wide procedures and policies
  • Working with Administrative team to develop Lower School budget
  • Working with Administrative team to maintain ACSI Accreditation
  • Assisting the Admissions Director in conducting prospective family interviews
  • Working with the Upper School Principal and Academic Counselor to develop class
    schedules
  • Developing and managing Lower School curriculum program with the Lower School
    Instructional Coach and Director of Academics
  • Developing opportunities for faculty professional development
  • Using data analysis to assist in student academic improvement and placement
  • Communicating with students and parents regarding academic and discipline issues
  • Providing ongoing evaluation to faculty members including informal and formal
    assessments to help determine faculty assignments
  • Guiding students to self-governance through redemptive discipline
  • Providing spiritual leadership and growth opportunities to faculty and staff

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Candidate must possess at least a Master’s degree in education from an accredited
    university and have a minimum of 5 years of classroom teaching experience and 2 years of administration experience, preferably in a Christian School (Master’s in Ed.
    Leadership/Administration is preferred)
  • Must possess or be willing to work toward an ACSI Principal certification
  • Must have a credible profession of faith and testimony, and be actively involved in a
    local church, as this person will serve as a role model in attitude, speech, and actions for the school community
  • Must be able to articulate his/her Christian worldview and philosophy of Kingdom
    education
  • Must be able to implement policy and procedures of the lower school
  • Must possess strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Must attend and help lead faculty meetings, professional development seminars, and
    devotions
  • Must be proficient with MS Office Suite and/or Google Workspace
  • Must have familiarity or willingness to learn Blackbaud software for student management
